About Me
Hi, I'm Farryn, a licensed counselor and Registered Play Therapist passionate about helping children, teens, young adults, and families navigate life's challenges and find meaningful healing. I use a trauma-informed, client-centered approach that draws from a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. My goal is to meet you or your child exactly where you are, whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment difficulties, or navigating life with ADHD, autism, or other forms of neurodivergence. I create a welcoming and affirming space for all clients, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community, where you can feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow in your own time and way. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary in 2015 and have been licensed in the state of North Dakota since then.
I completed my clinical internship at Prairie St. John's in the Child and Adolescent Partial Hospital Program and went on to work in a variety of settings, including in-home family therapy and residential psychiatric care. In 2018, I earned a graduate certificate in Play Therapy through Capella University. I have had my own practice, Helm Therapy Services, since 2019.
No matter your story, you are welcome here. I'd be honored to walk alongside you or your loved one on the path toward healing.
